1. What is eCouture?
eCouture is Sample Aided Tailoring (S.A.T.) concept providing flexibility
and choice of bespoke tailoring at a lower cost
2. How does eCouture differ from
bespoke tailoring?
There are 3 different types of tailoring concepts:
• Sample Aided Tailoring –
this is eCouture's concept.
S.A.T - requires one visit for sample fitting and measuring. All details
of the person's body shape are gathered at this stage. There is no guarantee
that the sample will fit the person exactly but this is used as an accurate
guide already constructed. We do not have to make individual patterns
but change the sample pattern to adjust the fit at the cutting stage.
Neither do we make a second visit before lining in. This saves a lot
of pattern cutting and visiting costs and allows us to offer the suits
at a lower cost.
• Full bespoke whereby you are
given the service of somebody visiting and measuring you, designing
a personal pattern that fits your body shape. A second visit is then
needed once the basic shell of the garment is constructed so any minor
alterations can be made before the garment is lined in. This form of
tailoring is very expensive as it requires extra visits to each person.
Prices for bespoke suits start from £500 a suit.
• Stock sizes. This
is the cheapest method of producing garments and is comparable to buying
from the high street shops. This will give some people ill-fitting garments,
as they are mass-produced for one fit only. Bearing in mind the number
of people in your company, there are many types of fit. Shoulder angle,
posture, cross back width, arm holes circumference and many other technical
alterations are very difficult to alter after the garment is constructed
and many other aspects of the fit will be affected. Any length alterations
are also limited.

7. What do you do if the garment does not fit when it is delivered?

is a very important reinforcement to our guarantee to give good service
to our customers.
